Recent press & upcoming events
On special request from a special client (as well as just for the record) here's a brief round up of recent cases of PostSpectacular in the media and some details for the upcoming Advanced Beauty screening in London:
Creative Review, November 2008 issue
This month's issue has an extensive 4-page feature & interview about the PostSpectacular approach and recent work (incl. collaborations with my friend Matt Pyke under his Universal Everything banner). I'm super happy about how it turned out, last but not least to hopefully inspire some more talent to join & experiment in this field of expression…
Design Week, Rising Stars October 2008
Earlier this month, Design Week also featured me in their new supplementary "Rising Stars" section, following a proposal of my previous Vorgesetzter at Moving Brands. Thanks, Ben! :)
Advanced Beauty @ onedotzero
As mentioned earlier, Advanced Beauty is a collection of 18 audio-visual video sculptures that are an on-going exploration of digital artworks born and influenced by audio-plus-code. Inspired by synaesthesia, these videos are visual manifestations of sound, sculpted by volume, pitch and structure of the soundtrack.
I'm very happy to have been part of this international collaboration between coders, composers, animators and architects, curated by Universal Everything and Freefarm. Now even more so, since the project is being screened all over the world as part of this year's onedotzero, by now a truly global moving image festival. For their London happening, Matt, Simon and myself will be introducing the screening at BFI Southbank on November 15, 4pm.
